RXNT QUICK REFRENCE GUIDE  
 This symbol is for functions that only have to be done once; we state if you only have to do function2-3 times in a year; otherwise do all Functions each time to make sure the requirements are met. Under RXNT Menu – Utilities to get to ONC Measure Report – Encounters only – Run Measure Data to see where you are at.

• Edit Patient (after finding your patient click the RXNT Menu in the upper left hand of the screen)    
  • Remove leading 0’s from Patient Chart
  • Select Race
  • Enter Email address if known
  • Select Marital Status if known
  • Click Add Flag and select one of the 3 Smoking selections
  • Check Phone in Communication Preference
  • Select Preferred Language
  • Select Ethnicity
  • Select Employment Status if known        
    • If the Patient is not willing to answer any of these questions click on the Patient Notes Tab at the top             
      • Enter in the New Note box: Patient refuses to give ____ information.
      • Save Note and return to Patient Edit tab
  • Click Update
• Current Medications – Check status here every 3-4 visits    
  • Easiest check of Meds is to click on the tab Claims Hx (must accept the HIPAA statement 1^st time using this tab)        
    • If refills have been done at a participating pharmacy they will be listed here
    • Select the most current medications and click Add to Current Meds            
      • If nothing listed go back to the Current Medications Tab
  • Add to add Medications        
    • Start typing in Drug Name to get a list of medications
    • If patient knows when they started the medication enter it otherwise enter the date you where made aware they were taking it
    • Insert    
  • No Active Meds
• Allergies – Check 2-3 times a year ( only Drug Allergies no environmental, animal or food) Pick 1 of the 3 choices:    
  • Add Allergy        
    • Click in Name box and start to type in Drug to find (only has 50 listed)
    • Fill in date they know they started the allergy or the date you where made aware of it.
    • Insert
  • No Known Allergies
  • No Knows Drug Allergies.
• Problems – Check every Visit and update when Diagnosis codes change    
  • Add Diagnosis (do this for each diagnosis the patient has)        
    • Type in the diagnosis code in the box to find a match
    • Fill in Date Identified (either date they were given or the date you were made aware of it)
    • Insert
    • Click on the post it note icon after the diagnosis code to open new window            
      • Most times there is not information for Chiropractic diagnosis codes so click Show All
      • Click on any of the Hyperlinks and open it – then close it down – this will satisfied the requirement, then close this window
• Vitals & Charting (if you do not do this as a normal part of your practice you do not have to fill this out – you can put Out of Scope of Practice on the Report.) If you do take Vitals  Enter  Each Visit    
  • To meet the requirements you only have to fill out Height and Weight         
    • You can fill out BPM if you want.

• Procedures    
  • Click Add
  • Click the magnifying glass as the end of the box
  • Type the CPT code in the box that popped up and click Search
  • Click on the CPT code that shows in the box below
  • Add in Date Performed
  • Click Save
• Generate a Pin    
  • Click on the RXNT Menu button in the upper left of the screen
  • Click on Generate Pin
  • Click Print – 2 copies one for your record and one to give to the patient        
    • If you install CutePDF writer (free program found via Google) you can “print” it to a PDF file that you can save and link to your patient in the Documents section of the EMR
• Print Profile     
  • Under the RXNT Menu you will find Print Profile
  • Select Current Summary
  • Click Print – and then cancel the print command – this will fulfill the requirement
  • Check that Current Summary is still checked
  • Click the Blue text – Download CCR
  • Save (your choice as to where you want to save this on your machine) Then close this screen
• Health Maintenance Rules (It is suggested to run this at the end of the day as you can pick multiple people at one time)    
  • Under the RXNT Menu click the Utilities Menu
  • Select Health Maintenance
  • Click Add Rule         
    • Rules are information that you tell or give patients to do when they are home – Drink H2O, Stretch, Apply Hot or Cold Pack etc..
  • Click a Rule and then Click View button that appears
  • Select the patient or patients that you are giving this rule to for the day        
    • You can sort the list by the headers at the top
    • You can move through the list by using the slider bar or arrow buttons at the bottom of the page
    • If you are selecting multiple patients, hold your Ctrl key down while selecting all the names - this will allow you to select multiple patients that are not listed next to each other.
  • Click Marked Performed (Selected Patients)        
    • Note this can take 2-5 minutes to run no matter if you 1 patient or 30 selected – wait for it……
  • Click Save and go back to the Main Patient screen
• Encounters    
  • Click Add Encounter
  • Check Encounter Date is correct
  • Chief Complaint box        
    • Can Click Select.. in the Pick Helper box to see if there is anything that works for this patient – Back Pain, Joint Pain, and Neck Pain are the most common
    • Or - Type in the Chief Complaint
    • Or – copy the Chief Complaint from the EMR Report and paste in here
  • Click Save & Continue button        
    • Slide the box out of the way of the screen it is covering to make sure you do not have any duplicate Encounters for the same date            
      • Move your mouse to the header of the box that says Add and encounter and you will get a 4 pointed arrow – click and drag the box out of your way.
  • Click Preview and Save
  • Put a check in the Sign box (note the doctor or other authorized person must be signed into RXNT to be able to check this box) and then Click Save.
