Facility same as office

Problem:  In testing data for ICD10, we are consistently finding that many offices are putting their own office address as the facility on the 2 button. This is unnecessary. In fact, it causes a "situational error"  if the facility is the same as the office doing the billing. Situational errors will not currently cause rejections, but they may in the future.

Solution:  Version 4.35 checks the address line of the facility against the address line of system parameters.  If they are an exact match, it does not create loop 2310C.

Question: It automatically populates that field – is there a place where we can take it out of the settings so that the facility doesn't automatically populate?

Answer:  Go to System, System Parameters.  At the bottom of the screen is transaction facility defaults.  Use the drop down, set to None.
