Split Claims
Problem: Claims are splitting electronically or on HCFA forms.
Answer: The claims will split if there is a new diagnosis code, a new facility, a new rendering doctor, anything new on the 2 button, new information on the C button, or if a few procedures were entered and then they went back and added more procedures or backdated the procedures. This is true for both electronic claims and HCFA.
